I only used five ingredients in this recipe, and it is coconut oil, cocoa powder, sugar-free syrup, collagen protein powder, and raw walnuts. And this is why I used each product:

  • Coconut Oil: That is a great fat to use as a base. Some consider it a superfood. I like it because it tends to really fill me up.
  • Cocoa powder: I love this cocoa powder because it’s low carb and tastes yummy! I also like Guittard cocoa powder, which is too low carb.
  • Keto Collagen Powder (salted caramel flavor): This is a new product for me. I’ve been trying these new collagen-based protein powders and was excited about how good this one tastes. Plus, the salted caramel flavor doesn’t have any net carbs!
  • Raw Walnuts: These walnuts act like a nut butter to keep this fat bomb soft, and unlike almond butter, it has a neutral taste.
  • Torani Sugar-Free Salted Caramel Syrup: This Torani sugar-free syrup, is one of my favorites. 

LET’S MAKE SOME CHOCOLATE CARAMEL FAT BOMBS WITH A SALTY TWIST!

First, you need to grind the tasty walnuts using a food processor. You want to make sure you grind them until they become moistened like cookie dough. If you keep processing more, it will be more like nut butter, and that would also be ok.

Following that, you add in the yummy cocoa powder, collagen powder, and Torani syrup. Pulse to mix it well and then spoon it into a bowl. Then you add the coconut oil and mix it by hand. You don’t add it to the food processor because it will make it melt too much, and it will get runny.

In the picture above, you can see that it looks like brownie batter. Now just spoon into your mold of choice. Here I used this rather large silicone ice cube tray.

 You can pop this in the freezer or refrigerator to harden. I like the fridge because it's faster. It should take anywhere from about 1/2 hour to around 2 hours, depending on your fat bombs' size and thickness.

After they are finished, you need to store them in the freezer or refrigerator. They will start to melt in your hands, even frozen. They are soft and not too hard.
